Ray,

As you know, your Caravelles and my Summits are of similar size and configuration. My room dimensions are as follows: 20 ft 10 in x 15 ½ ft x 9 ft (ceiling height)

The single Rel Storm 3 placed in the room's corner sounds outstanding, and I've noted very minimal issues in terms of being able to localize it. I think I already emailed this to you, but if not, here it is again: the Rel Strata 3 review by Quadophile is absolutely EXCELLENT, and PACKED with solid information, in my opinion.

I think the Caravelles sound very good without a sub or subs, but i want that lower octave so far im considering a sub from the following companys,ACI,James,REL,Velodyne DD,Onix, ive just started reading all i can,and talking to folks with sub experience,im thinking i should get a 10" or 12" instead of anything larger because of room size, and the fact that i may be adding a second sub one day ,and would not have the room for two larger subs, anyway,im open to any suggestions, what are the advantages of high or low output hookup? I have plenty of traditional jazz, and a lot of experimental jazz. I don't know if anything can be defined smooth. Lay some titles on me.

raytheprinter

Raythefinder, I look at the pile of stuff you have, and feel inadequate. Maybe if I get some Shakti stones ;)

muralman1

Cheryl Bentyne from Manhattan Transfer?! Great group! I haven't checked out her solo recordings though.

I haven't sat down to listen to Diane Schuur in quite awhile, but then again, I haven't fired up my system in quite awhile!
