Hello Rick,

I tried to PM you in June.  Will repost my message below.  Quicksilver V4s and Lamm LL2.1 are an excellent match - a great mix of detail, warmth, and dynamics.

Ceiling height is 96 inches.

Previous PM to Rick:
"Hello Rick,
I have found the Lamm LL2.1 to be very natural, clean, quiet, and lifelike. It is a solidly built unit with simple functionality and perfect fit/finish. I do tend to sell/buy components simply for the sake of change (or upgrade), but the Lamm is staying put. I purchased the Kt150 version V4s new in 2020 and direct from Quicksilver. They seem to be an excellent match with the LL2.1. Good luck with the KT170s - let me know what you discover!"

Hello,
Great looking room and set-up.
I just purchased a LL2.1 and waiting for its arrival.  I also have had the Quicksilver V4s (KT150 version) for a few years and really like them.
What is your impression of the V4s mating with the LL2.1?
Also, what is your ceiling height?
Posted below but I think you missed it.
Again, great set-up!

I appreciate the kind comments.

Made the diffusers from materials at home depot/lowes using skyline pattern found on line.  Yes, they are very heavy and require mounting to studs.  I used leftover hardwood floor slats for mounting which made leveling and centering rather simple.  building them was a fun, but very time consuming project, especially the sanding.  Diffusers have since been taken down to support an even cleaner look.  Also added a pair of REL S/3 subs.  Latest obsession is trying to dial everything in again.

I love a clean, elegant room with good treatment.  Just like this one.  Makes me smile just to look at it.  What a haven.

Did you make the diffusors?  Source them somewhere?  Are they heavy as hell and have to mount to studs?

Hello,
I am contemplating getting the Lamm LL2.1 preamp and would appreciate your thoughts.
I presently have a Zesto Leto 1.5 preamp and Andros Deluxe 2 phonostage, but have read a lot about the naturalness of the Lamm gear.
I see you have the QuickSilver V4 mono amps... are these the factory KT150 series?  I also have the QuickSilver V4s and love them.... they are the factory KT150 series and been considering getting a set of the new KT170 tubes and trying them... Mike Sanders (QuickSilver) says they will work as drop in.
Please feel free to private message.

Phono preamp in the Modwright SWLP was replaced with Sutherland 20/20.  Installed 3 x 20 Amp dedicated circuits.

Looks like many things have changed since the last time I was here.  The Modwright SWLP was replaced with a Lamm LL2.1.  The VTL ST-150 was replaced with McIntosh MC501 monolblocks, and then Quicksilver V4 monoblocks.  Moved diffusion treatments and added additional DIY panel absorbers.  LPs reorganized in new shelves.  Swapped mid century style loveseat for a leather club chair.

Nice system with enviable main components. Good and easy to use LP rack.
Might have doubts about the shelf holding the turnable as to whether it was sturdy enough. But must work, may want to try that for myself. Happy listening while you save for kid's college fund. :]
