Owner
the sa8260 is replaced by the conso nance cd 120 linear

jmlab926

Owner
i can switch between avt1 or the integration
jungson is a solid state one but people say that it sounds like tube
it is 80x2 class a and weighs 65 lbs
i like it especially in the midrange: more detail and harmonic
the high cannot be compared to tubes with an airy presentation
the bass is a bit slow as compared to psaudio hca2
thanks norman

Hi Norman,
I see you replaced at least one pair of AVT1 with the D102mk3. I really like the van den Hul cables - they sound very natural to me. At least in my system.

How do you like the Jungson with your 926s? I love tube amps with mine. You made the right choice!

I have have had my 926s hooked up to the hca-2, but the 926s did not have much bass. I swaped cables from AQ slates to Kimber Select they helped but was still not happy. I ended up buying a Sim Audio w-5, now I got the bass I was looking for. For some reason the hca and the 926s didnt work for me.

hi pressure, which is the specific audioquest sp. cable are you using? I guess the extreme statement is a bit tubey. It is a matter of taste. I have the new musicwave plus MM sp. cable
but I prefer the cv6. You may like the 927Be; the price range is same as the 936. jmlab926

Hello, I have an HCA-2 and love it. I bought PS AUDIO EXTREME STATEMENT Bi-WIRE cables and what an EXTREME difference. I was using bi-wire cables by Audioquest and thought they where good but compared to the STATEMENTS they are GARBAGE!!!!! A friend of mine had me try his and my B&W's sound great now. I only wish I had these cables before I sold my Apogee's. I am using a Melos MA 333 Gold pre amp and the HCA-2 which is replacing my venerable VTL MB-300 Mono blocks. I am thinking of buying a pair of Electra 936 I only hope it will be an improvement. The Statements are now discontinued but they can be had for under $300( retail was $1100] what a deal

Owner
who is using the jmlab926 or similar? anyone using the hca2?
the music is not bright because of the hca2 and cables that i am using. aball is right. the 926 is very revealing. this is a simple system. please comment. by the way, i do not really tweak the system. i cannot type and will never learn. you would not believe that i started this hobby since 83/84. jmlab926
