The best feature is the room. A loft, about 80'x 27'x 20+'. Concrete floor, variegated cathedral ceiling. Rack is custom built, steel pipe, houses cds and records as well, insanely heavy when fully loaded. Sounds great, but needs better amplification. Tempted to go with a Marsh A400s and upgrade to a Placette passive later. Also considering integrateds a la Plinius, NAD Silver, Krell... Wish list: Maggie 3.6r? Revel Salon? ML 360S MicroGroove+ Helikon Wires... Hard to justify wires when so much else is needed.
Try the wires Rob. They make a huge difference. A great "reviewer's choice" is Analysis Plus copper oval 9. Bi-wire if possible. I spent a bit more on Siltech because my plinius is internally wired with the stuff, but the AP stuff is insanely cheap for the improvement you will hear...especially with your tube amp. You ca get 8' bi-wire used for 400 bucks. It will definitely be a huge, audible difference, giving you greater clarity, imaging ang dynamic range. Try to borrow good cables from a friend, and remember to listen to the same music "before and after" on the old and borrowed cable.
