Description

Dec 2017: I just bought the KEFs after using entry-level Wharfdale Diamond 10.1 speakers for the past several years.  My first impression of the KEFs is very positive.  I know a lot of folks complain about the lack of bass, but that's not a huge issue for me.  I love the added resolution the KEFs bring to the table over the Wharfdales.  If I could figure out where to put it, I have an old 10" sub that's very musical that would be great.

March 2018: I picked up a new Rega Apollo CDP - 2017 version.  They dropped the "R" designation and as you can see from the photo, the appearance has changed from previous versions.  I'm getting a little more detail and subtlety that my previous player (Arcam CD73) could not provide.  I upgraded the power cord to a Wireworld Stratus 7.

April 2019: I finally replaced my 13 year old Arcam A90 integrated amp with a slightly newer Simaudio Moon 340i.  I was considering a tube amp for a while (Rogue Audio Cronus Magnum was high on my list) but I ended up getting a solid state amp instead.  This amp has everything I wanted including the upgraded D2 DAC.  Now I'm in the process of upgrading the stock AC cord to a Cardas Twinlink and the IC to an AudioQuest Forest digital coax that connects to the Squeezebox.  Currently, I'm using the Rega's DAC, but I will experiment with connecting it digitally to the Moon's DAC.

Always interested in hearing other folks opinions/suggestions.

Love the green display of the Arcam integrated; nice system and I'm sure it sounds great!

Love the setup! I have LS50's and really love 'em. I have owned a lot more expensive speakers but the LS50's are special.
