Description

This may be changing again soon as I have the itch to upgrade again.

McIntosh is looking pretty appealing... possibly the C1000 Tube amplifier and a pair of MC501 monoblocks or scale back a bit and just use the MDA1000 to drive a pair of MC2102 Tube Amplifiers!

Who knows perhaps I'll wind up choosing Mark Levinson or Esoteric...

I have used McIntosh and B&W in my systems and really liked the results. McIntosh equipment was designed to work well together and except for the TT my 2 channel is all Mc. I have incorporated Mapleshade racks and speaker stands (recently bought Harbeth SHL-5 and Velodyne DD sub)and the upgraded performance from the components was well worth the expense. I saw an interesting blog the other day where the writer (an audio dealer from the sound of it) expressed an opinion that after many years and component changes in the hobby most people ended up with tube electronics and box type speakers. You've got a great start with MDA1000. Good luck, have fun.
