Description

Low power system based on the efficiency of the ZUs, the 9 watts of the SE9 are more than enough in this room. I have not had a chance to do serious listening since setting up the Omens, first impressions are positive. Plenty of bass which was one of my main concerns. Still awaiting the arrival of the NFB-11, for now using the audio out of the airport express. I went with the NFB-11 due to its use of the ESS Sabre 9018 chip, this should improve the resolution substantially over the jitter prone audio out of the AE. Music can be streamed to both systems simultaniously, the difference between the two is quite dramatic to say the least.

From what I understand TS audio is the manufacturer, they rebrand them for Norh as well as the SE-18 and the Norh pre-amp. I have been searching for TS's contact info for a while just incase I need parts someday, Norh has ignored my request unfortunately.

Nice looking room and system. I have a TS Audio-branded integrated that is identical to the Norh. Never could find much information about it until now. I am pushing Madisound BK-16 cabinets I built and loaded with Audio Nirvana drivers with mine. In my system/room the setup is a bit bass-light but not annoyingly so.

Thanks! I have yet to hear a single ended 300b, it will likely be my next tube amp though. I will have to give the ZUs time to break in, they are fun little speakers though. Two completely different sounding set ups, if I had to choose one to keep right now it would be the 1.6s. Time will tell if my opinion stays the same...

Nice system"s". I like your style. I also have Maggies in one system and a SET/Hi-eff combo in another. Though the 300b and 45/2a3 are my favorite triodes, the el34 and el84 give me a lot of pleasure too.

Your last sentence says "dramatic" differences between the two, is one of them more of your favorite?
