For stereo listening, the Clarity speakers really shine in the imaging and soundstage categories. The way I have these arranged, the L/R speakers produce an effect where sound is strongly coming from the front center of the room, making it sound like the center speaker was on when it wasn't!
For now, we're done, and my wife and I are very pleased with our newly built HT and look forward to enjoying it every moment we can!
P.S.--Red walls, white carpet, and blue ceiling and curtains add up to a great HT feel.
Many thanks for your suggestions. I haven't yet experimented with the subwoofer placement (need longer cables) and I'll be sure to look into the QS you suggested. I will, of course, be looking to forward to enjoying these tasks, and others related to my system, in the weeks and months to come!
I am familiar with the VSX series in my own HT system. No doubt it contributes to the enjoyable sound you get from your ML speakers. Have you experimented a bit with the subwoofer placement? Someone once told me simply siting the sub behind the couch produces easy integration. As you know, corner placement reinforces the lowest frequencies and may be too much for some rooms. I'm sure you've thought this one through already.
I'd like to pass a tweak tip on that I know you'll enjoy. Try to get a Quantum Symphony on A'gon and plug it in on the same circuit as your DLP rear projector. It provides "parallel" conditioning and the effects on video has been noted in HT reviews. I won't tell you what to expect from it, but surfice to say, it will not disappoint. My two Quantum black boxes sits in my stereo and HT rooms and are the only "component" that has remain unchanged in over ten years of system building.
