Hello: I was going through the virtual systems and I thought yours was of interest, because I don't see much of the ARC vt 200 and with the Vany 3Asigs, it got my attention. So how is the sound ? I bet Great. I have the 3Asigs with Dreadnaught bi-amped. ARC LS25 pre. Sony 777cdp.ECD-1 dac. I was thinking of bi-amping ARC vt 100s. I guess my next purchase should be the subs. Does your dealer have the model 5? Does the vt200 get hot? Thanks Ron

Phono stage: Depends on your budget. Assuming you're going one significant step up from the Creek and are looking at the used market I'd look for a Sonic Frontiers or perhaps an ARC PH3. Both use tubes. Either can be had for under a grand.

Speaker Cables: Lots of choices there. I like DH Labs Q-10, and it's a bargain even at retail. I'm not familiar with your current cables though. Q-10's are very detailed and revealing in my experience.

I recommend you audition Transparent Audio Ultra or Reference Speaker Cables and MIT Oracle - you pick the model and cost - speaker cables. If you want to try something that is interesting, try Virtual Dynamic's Nite series. They are mail order only and work out of Canada. I recently bought their Nite Power Cord and it is a knockout.

Nice. I have heard that the Hagerman Trumpet is a very good performing phonostage at under $2k. Might be worth an audition.
