Description

This was my "dream system" in the mid-1980s.

20 years later, I still like the sound and appearance of these components.

This system was assembled over the past 18 months.

All of these components are housed in walnut wood veneer audio cabinet purchased in 1986.

I have used harman/kardon "twin power" amps and receivers since 1973.

I think those ADS speakers are a bit older.. I remember them in ads in hi-fi and stereo review back in say, 1978.
From what I remember, they were pretty good. My favorite from back then was the Epicure model 20.

You need to find a "OM" cartridge body for your 20 stylus. The OM "Super" body is a current model.

Great job anyway!! Happy listening!!

Wow whats old is new again. Any one of those components would look at home with the stuff thats being sold nowadays. How does it sound and are you thinking of parting with any of that stuff? Thinking of upgrading?

Ahh, nothing like building the system you couldn't afford back in those good ol' days. I always lusted for the little 440 watt Carver "Cool" Cube I always saw in the Paris Audio newspaper ads.
