System edited: I thought the Krell really opened up the tweeters on the Thiels. The Classe took that another step forward. Whether its the extra power, the right combination, or both, I don't know. I do know that I'm very happy with the Classe and as I predicted to my wife, the KAV-500 will not be going back to left/right duties again.
System edited: The Krell blew up. No idea what happened or why. I bought the amp in this condition it seems as it just kept getting worse immediately after I received it. Nothing I can do about it now. Its going back to Krell for service. In the meantime, I got something I've been really looking forward to hearing... a Classe CA-200. I've heard nothing but good things about this amp mated to 1.5s so I'm gonna give it a shot.
System edited: The Cinema 11 arrived and it awesome. Thats where my soundstage has been hiding! You can actually tell the difference from where the drummer hits the lower drums and where they hit the cymbals. Very cool. CDs sound better with the Cinema 11's DACs than the Arcam's. Hmmm, maybe that means its time for a dedicated transport. The rear Sound Anchors stands are a nice match to the front and are very heavy. Hard to believe I got the same stands I was going to buy new, here, three days before I was going to call Sound Anchors to purchase them.
System edited: I picked up both a Cary Cinema 11, a pair of Sound Anchors stands, and two Wireworld HDMI cables. Pictures will be posted as soon as I have everything cleaned up.
System edited: The DVDO beat out the Focus CenterStage but only after the ABT102 was installed. The Arcam beat out the Rega Planet 2000 and Denon DVD player. I think the Planet 2K and the DV79 are similar CD players. The Rega has better bass, the Arcam better highs. I was expecting the opposite actually. In the end all that matters is that I like the sound and get one shelf spot back. I don't know whether to get two more SCS4s for the rear or a Cary Cinema 11 preamp now. It'll probably have to wait a bit anyway.
System edited: Currently auditioning an Arcam DV79 in the hopes it can replace both the Rega Planet 2000 and the Denon DVD. I'm also looking to get a DVDO iScan VP20.
