    • Dynavector 10X5
    • Rega P3
    P3 2000
    • Groove Tracer Acrylic Platter
Quieter, but less dynamic sounding than the glass. A change in sound rather than an upgrade. But lets face it, it looks really cool.
    • Groove Tracer Machined Sub-Platter
Easily the best Rega upgrade so far!
    • Michell Engineering Technoweight
    modest improvement
    • Graham Slee GramAmp 2 SE
    .
    • PS Audio DigitalLink III
still rediscovering my CD collection. Will be feeding it through the USB of my iMac shortly.
    • Naim Audio NAIT XS 2
I've been running this for a couple years. At first it had that "hi-fi" sound (in the bad way), but has since warmed and opened up. Comparable to the Cyrus II it replaced in character, but with better dynamic contrast.
    • Von Schweikert Audio VR 1
These always reveal any changes made upstream. I don't think I'll ever get rid of these, but I might try the Reference Audio mod.
    • Transparent The Link
the RCA plugs are a bit too tight, in my opinion
    • Transparent The Wave
Hard to say, I bought these at the same time I got the Naim

I love the combo. I'm on my second Dynavector

How do you like the dynavector/rega combo? I'm thinking of adding on to my P5.

Addendum: it wasn't the Mite, it was the Arro.

I demo'd a pair of Totem Mites at the dealer before getting the the VR-1s. The Mites paled in comparison. THe biggest difference was how much more coherent the VR-1s are. My guess is the 1st order crossover vs. the Mites' 4th order; phase shift.

great system! I personally love my DLIII, they are great pieces of gear.

what're your thoughts on the VR1? anything you had before/compared it to? I've heard lots of good things, but never actually heard myself...

The PowerBook is streaming iTunes from an iMac in the next room w/ 1TB of storage and a 2TB external backing it all up.

I hope to run iTunes with Decibel in the coming month.

System edited: Just added photos of the system with the CD player removed and laptop added.

I've added a PS Audio Link III DAC on the analog side, and a Michell weight to the Rega on the analog. Hopefully going to be running my iMac through the DAC w/ Decibel in the coming months.

This is a cool kit. I like how how it doesn't invade the room, it must give you a lot of great music and satisfaction. Me like!

The Transparents are fine. They replaced my Nordosts at the same time (needed banana plugs) I bought the Naim, so I couldn't compare the two directly.

Very sharp system -- it puts the setup I had in grad school to shame. I'm guessing that you mostly listen to vinyl? If you have a significant cd collection, there are great deals to be had on used players these days. A Rega or Naim player would be a great addition.

Very respectable system! Don't underestimate simplicity. How do you like the transparent cables so far?
