OK, Mjcmt. Thanks for your clarification. You did come off in a dubious way.
If I may recommend something to you - if you do not know anything about a certain piece of gear, just do not say anything at all. That is the best policy in these forums.
Your statement of "It is hard to comment on your system since it is older and not perticularily special." did not come across as being friendly.
Anyway, with that situation behind us, the Kimber Hero interconnects: in a nutshell: they suck!
When I used them in my 2-ch setup, their only redeeming feature was a pretty good midrange. The bass is wooly/fat/bloated. The hi freq is rolled off a bit too much for my liking. Hence, I've relegated them to my HT setup where I care FAR less about the sound quality (as long as I clearly hear the dialog track with the movie track, I'm happy). Sorry to burst your bubble re. the Kimber Hero cables but I'm not terribly fond of them at all.
I did get a chance to hear a Kimber Select speaker cable - the owner could not tell for certain whether they were copper or silver - but these sounded very good with the Jazz music he was playing. However, these Kimber Select are in a totally different league price-wise.
