Hey--I just saw your post. I have a Musician II and the VR-5 HSE's. I really like the combo. Lots of slam, fantastic and tight bass and very good mid and treble airiness. I had been driving the speakers with a pair of tube monoblocks. The Spectron was an improvement in nearly every dimension (which greatly surprised me). I bi-amped, using the tubes to run the mid/upper and the spectron to run the bass. The Spectron alone was better--far better.

I'm interested in your views on speaker cables--I'm just starting to audition some AZ Holograms and au24s. I'd appreciate the benefit of any experience you have.
Best, David.

The PFR; great preamp isn't it!? I have one driving an Ayre V-3 ss power amp in my second system. I love it!

It looks as though you've put together a nice, well thought out system. Is there something with which you are unhappy?
I recently replaced my Aragon 8008 with a Krell amp and have been quite pleased with the results, but your Palladium's are better than my 8008.
My immediate suggestion is always start with the source and work your way back to the speakers. Getting a great source will do more than replacing anything else in the system with a great product.
Electronics down the chain will never add what the source did not retrieve.
...my two cents!
