Buy a used forte 4 amp. Its only rated at 50 watts per channel but out preformed a adcom gfa 5800 rated at 250.

Class a amplifiers solid state are underrated to say the least...

Match it with a tube preamp and you can tube roll until you fine tune the sound the way you want it.
