it's pretty good now for the music i know & instruments i own. i can't figure out how to get the phono stage entered, it's a Melos, I think a 220 dual mono but modded by the new Melos in Las Vegas then recapped w/ my favs, Mundorfs., but for this i tried the silver & gold supremes then bypassed the coupling caps w/VCaps. My latest thought is to send the phonostage to Steve Huntley, Great Northern treads in waters i don't even see but if he can do to the melos what he did to my LS5, i think my LPs would curl up their toes.

my problem is the transport on my bat. anyone know who can replace the turntable of the vkd5se, a lovely unit i listen to when too "weak" to flip lps, whose sole failing is a cd transport not up to the standards of the rest of the unit.i 'd like to employ someone to simply remove the stock transport and replace it with one of the best available rather than send it home for repairs every 3 years. ?Ideas?
