I tried the RWA 30.2 (which I really liked never heard anything like it before) which lead me to the 70.2 (I loved, more bass more goodies all and all) Then thought why not go whole hog with postage so I ordered the Isabella to replace my ARC LS3 pre-amp and nova DAC. When I switched from a upsampling DAC I lost the grab and some dynamic hold my system had. I feel like it's veil or held back. Gone though $1000 in tubes and interconnects trying to get some of it back. I really like the tone and evenness the NOS DAC gives so I don't want to give up on it. My room is not the best- it's about 16' by 24', two set windows, and three open doorways. So, the speakers have to be 11' apart with a alcove opening holding a TV in the middle which I use the speakers for also. I have it in my head to try a single diver speaker like Omega's 8". I Just saw a AD for some nice nina 4.5" speakers not sure if these would fit with my system and tastes. Have not got to hear any single drivers myself. I listen to Leonard Cohen, Johnny Cash, Bob Seager, Nina Simon, Pearl Jam, Radiohead, Audioslave, Pink Floyd, Cold Play well you get the picture with some classical and Jazz mixed in. System edited: I have changed the speakers to Super 8 Alnicos. Before this, I thought changing speakers would be one of the only way to really get more of what I wanted sound wise. The transparent USB cable broke in. I would say this solved the lack of detail and held back feeling I was having completely . For 130.00 = 9' USB cable totally changed my systems sound and brought out more of that great Red Wine sound adding tonality and detail from front to back of the sound stage. The omega's are warming up and sound like nothing I have never heard. I like it but it's so different I am not sure I have a reference for it. Wow all is good :-) one thing I would like to try to add is some new speaker wire. Have Thought about making some as I have jewelry-fine metal skills all this .9999 silver for $$$$$ does not impress me I have worked some metal in my time. I would be open to try some finished cables if someone has had experience with the same components and speakers, finding one cable that really made them shine. Please let me know. I will try to put pictures up soon.
