the sa8260 is natural
it is very good for the $
and i use a gutwire g clef with it
the mid of the jungson is a kind of tube like //the details and harmonics are good
the high is not as airy as tube amps and the bass is not the best but given the $ it is a bargain
i compare it to my simaudio pre // psaudio hca2 and
the aragon 4004 mk2 and others in the past

i have seen your system it is in a better room now
the music should be more involving

Hi Jenn Dna,
You have a fine system. How do you like the Jungson amp? What other amps did you compare it with before you made the decision?
I have the Marantz SA8260. Have had no urge to upgrade it. How do you like the sound of this player?

you should check out the elrod products. i put two siganture 2's and one signature 3 in and they made a huge improvement in my system, in the exact areas you're looking to work on... and very dramatically. if you do give them a try, be prepared for the week long settling-in period, then they'll blow your mind!
