Hi Seung, I am driving my RT-7's with tube Cary sla-70 sig amp using EVS Ultimate Attenuators attached at the amp inputs instead of a preamp. The sound is optimized using Goertz MI-3 copper ribbon speaker wire, and Bybee filters before the Ultimate Attenuators, and before the speaker terminals. The ribbons are very fast with great transient attack, detail, yet sweet when the recording is sweet. The word "musical" certainly applies, especially recordings of the human voice. The transmission line bass has impressed many listeners who cannot believe it is being energized by a 35 watt per channel tube amp. I found that an old style NOS Tesla EL-34 output tube helped optimize my listening experience. Tube choice is always very unique to each listener. Overall, this speaker is very revealing of all the other elements in a system because of the ribbon tweeter so be prepared to upgrade the rest of your system as time goes on. What is the offering price of these speakers used? I think I paid $1600 as a dealer leftover about fifteen years ago. I never met anyone else who owns this speaker so you will be joining a small group of owners.

Hi,Seung. I remember they sounded quite musical but this is only from memory now so if you can hear them and see them first. You have to hear them for yourself and decide....I do prefer the newform ribbons.....cheers,

I am considering to buy Clements RT-7 from somebody. Could you explaing about your experience with the RT-7? How is the sound characteristic of the RT-?

Thank you so much in advance.

Hi, Brian. I heard the clements tr-7's in Halifax years ago and liked them very much. At the time the guy was also running a pair of slopes and was using counterpoint pres on adcom amps. Every saturday I had to drop in to listen to new music.....cheers.
